No matter what the series has in store, fans have witnessed why The League Of Villains is an organization to be taken seriously. Here are the top ten strongest known members of The League Of Villains in My Hero Academia so far. There will be slight spoilers for the My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising film but no major manga spoilers.
Updated October 9, 2021, by Christine Mendoza: Season 5 of My Hero Academia has had a shining spotlight on the League of Villains. While the students of U.A. High have been training and learning new techniques, the League has been keeping themselves busy as well, wasting no time to prepare for any threats that come their way.
While the end of Season 5 has officially ended the League Of Villains (at least their activities formally under that name), Shigaraki and his team are still moving forward with their plans of destruction under the newly formed Paranormal Liberation Front after singlehandedly defeating the leader of the Meta Liberation Army. The League is still alive and well and is constantly getting more and more powerful and shaking up the ranks. Here are the updated rankings of the members of the organization formerly known as The League Of Villains.
10 Dabi
Quirk : Cremation Special Moves : Prominence Burn Equipment : None Strengths : Good range of combat, can pair physical damage with elemental damage, enhanced stamina Weaknesses : His quirk’s power can easily inflict damage to himself if his flames burn too hot
Dabi’s quirk “cremation” allows him to use powerful blue flames that can quickly scare off any opponent. Not only can Dabi generate these flames, but he has also displayed incredible control over his quirk as well. His quirk allows him to easily attack and defend himself with both short-range and long-range moves.
Dabi’s quirk allows him to enhance all his physical attacks, reinforcing any kicks or punches with scorching hot blue flames to add insult to injury. Not only is Dabi strong enough to leave his opponents covered in bruises, but he can vaporize them with the help of his quirk as well.
9 Magne
Quirk : Magnetism Special Moves : Repulsion Breakup: Moonlight Flit Cannon Equipment : Giant Magnet Strengths : Enhanced strength, good range of combat, excels in both offense and defense Weaknesses : Her quirk is very situational and depends on the gender of her allies and foes
Sometimes strength doesn’t lie within pure muscle power alone but instead can lie within force and impact. Magne has the powerful ability to magnetize a person’s entire body, forcing them whichever way she pleased due to her “magnetism” quirk. Although unable to magnetize herself, she can send opponents flying, repelling each other as she pleased with the help of her massive magnet she uses as a weapon to complement her quirk’s power.
Her magnetism is based on gender, having opposites attract and same genders repel. Magne can manipulate these magnetic forces to pack a punch, send opponents flying into nearby buildings or obstacles, or even help her teammates retreat when needed. This power in addition to her exceptional physical strength makes her a tough opponent to deal with.
8 Himiko Toga
Quirk : Transform Special Moves : Tantojutsu Equipment : Combat Knives, Blood Sucking Machine, Capsules Strengths : Excels in recon or infiltration, great versatility, enhanced agility Weaknesses : In order for her quirk to work, she must go through the trouble of extracting the blood of her opponent
Toga may seem unsuspecting at first but her newly awakened quirk makes her a very real threat to take seriously. So far Toga’s quirk, Transform, may have been limited to infiltration or any other spy-related missions, but as of Season 5, she’s added an entirely new level of abilities to her dossier.

While still in its early stages, Toga’s quirk has proved that it is indeed capable of mimicking the quirk of the individual she has transformed into. This newfound ability sets Toga’s threat level much higher than when she was simply involved in infiltration missions. Toga’s well on her way to becoming much more powerful and fans are eager to see how she’ll show off her new power in the next season.
7 Muscular
Quirk : Muscle Augmentation Special Moves : Immense Strength, Immense Durability, Immense Speed Equipment : Prosthetic Lef Eyes Strengths : Great offense and defense, brute force, enhanced stamina Weaknesses : Limited range (close range), muscle fibers can begin to deteriorate after too much damage
Of all the heroes, Deku in particular knows exactly how strong of a threat Muscular is. Muscular’s “muscle augmentation” quirk is the definition of raw strength. Muscular has the unique ability to manipulate and strengthen his own muscle fibers; even going as far as making them appear on the outside of his skin. Not having a flashy quirk with the aid of fire or any other elements doesn’t stop him from displaying extraordinary levels of power.
His muscle fibers have the ability to lift off his body, allowing him to trap his opponents’ limbs and restrain them, leaving them defenseless. The ability to manipulate his muscle fibers allows him to not only display enhanced strength but also incredible levels of defense as well when fortified.
6 Twice
Quirk : Double Special Moves : Infinite Doubles: Sad Man’s Parade Equipment : Costume, Measuring Tape, Knife Strengths : Ability to multitask and take down multiple enemies at once, enhanced speed and reaction time Weaknesses : Fragility of clones, tendency to trust supposed allies too easily, can be emotionally vulnerable at times
Twice is the living personification of the saying “two heads are better than one”. Twice’s quirk “double” allows him to create clones of anything he pleases; living or not. With the help of the League of Villains’ intel team to help him acquire the information he needs to enable his duplication quirk, Twice has the potential to take down some of the strongest heroes.
Twice not only can create clones of living beings but also can allow the duplicate to mimic the individual’s quirk as well. As of the 5th Season, Twice has gotten over the personal trauma he had that stopped him from creating clones of himself. Not only can Twice make doubles of himself, with the awakening of his Sad Man’s Paradise super move where he creates an endless mob of clones, Twice now has unleashed an army of incredible power.
5 The Nomu (Collectively)
Quirk : Varies (can hold multiple quirks) Special Moves : Absorption and Release, Muscle Augmentation, Warping, Tool Arms, Super Regeneration, Rupture Equipment : None Strengths : Incredible variety of quirks, enhanced strength, Weaknesses : Lower end Nomus tend to be much less intelligent and need direction in order to carry out any attacks
The Nomu are a key part of the League Of Villains and their overall firepower. A single Nomu even had the power to give All Might himself a challenge. The Nomu are essentially zombies; a corpse brought back to life and injected with as many quirks as it can possibly hold. Multiple quirks mean enhanced strength on its own but these reanimated humans are also heavily modified on top of this.
Multiple variations of Nomu have been seen throughout the series so far, with the next even stronger and deadlier than the last; with new quirks, these Nomu find new ways to one-up their hero enemies.
4 Gigantomachia
Quirk : Endurance, Pain Blocker, Gigantification, Dog, Energy Saver, Fierce Gains, Mole Special Moves : Immense Strength, Speed, Durability, and Stamina, Enhanced Senses and Breath, Size Enhancement Equipment : Radio Strengths : Incredible physical power, can easily track down enemies, great range of combat Weaknesses : Low level of intelligence and needs orders from his master in order to act
When it comes to raw strength, size definitely matters. Gigantomachia has an edge on a handful of heroes solely based on his towering stature. As if that weren’t enough on its own, Gigantomachia also has been manufactured to hold multiple quirks, just like his Nomu comrades.

Gigantomachia has displayed increased superhuman levels of strength, among incredible endurance due to his hardened skin, and even the ability to grow claws to add possible lacerations to the already brutal beating he can inflict on multiple enemies at once.
3 Nine
Quirk : Weather Manipulation, All for One, Air Wall, Scanning, Bullet Laser, Hydra, Cell Activation Special Moves : Enhanced Reflexes, Immense Durability, Keen Intellect, Indomitable Will Equipment : Life-Supporting Tubes Strengths : Effective leadership skills, incredible range of combat, can inflict both physical and elemental damage Weaknesses : Inflicts great amounts of self-damage when overusing his quirk, relies on equipment in order to function and fight
Nine, only appearing in the My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising film was the film’s elusive main antagonist. Nine was presented in the series’ second film as an unstoppable force as he was endowed with both the ability to control the weather in addition to All For One (although there was a limit to how many quirks he could hold).
Even without delving into too many spoilers for those that haven’t had the chance to watch the film yet, just by listing Nine’s quirks, it’s enough to understand the power he holds.
2 All For One
Quirk : All For One (+ a wide variety of quirks stolen using All For One) Special Moves : Ultimate Quirk Combination Equipment : Breathing Mask Strengths : Incredible variety of attacks, power, agility, and range, keen intellect Weaknesses : After inflicted damage from All Might, now relies on equipment in order to breathe
In a world where everyone (well, almost everyone) is blessed or burdened with a unique quirk, All For One is the greediest enemy to have. This SS-Rank villain has the ability to steal quirks and redistribute them at his will.
Not only does All For One have power, but he is also the one that chooses who is worthy of power as well. All For One (so far) has stolen a handful of quirks; ones that involve raw strength and even ones that go well beyond that. There’s no surprise that the villain that forced All Might into retirement would be at the top of his own league.
1 Tomura Shigaraki
Quirk : Decay Special Moves : Awakened Decay, Enhanced Speed, Keen Intellect, Indomitable Will Equipment : Disembodied Hand(s) Strengths : Great range of combat, does not need direct contact in order to attack, can use rubble or decayed parts of the environment in order to kill opponents, effective leadership skills Weaknesses : Inflicts self-damage when overusing quirk, doesn’t possess much physical power outside of his quirk
Shigaraki may not look muscular and tough but he is surprisingly strong in his own unique way, thanks to his quirk “decay”. Shigaraki’s ability to decay and disintegrate anything (living or not) just with a simple touch of all five of his fingers still very much poses a threat. Any combat Shigaraki decides to engage in, his enemy’s options are incredibly limited, especially at close range.
His newly awakened abilities in Season 5 push him to the top, clearly on the way to becoming the most powerful member of the league. Shigaraki’s Decay quirk now has the ability to decay its targets without direct contact with all five of his fingers. Not only does Shigaraki not need all five fingers in order to activate his quirk, but he is now capable of decaying a target via indirect contact; such as decaying the ground beneath them in order to disintegrate their feet and legs. This easily pushes Shigaraki to the front of the line in front of all other league members.
