Released on Bandai Namco’s YouTube channel, this new trailer comes with over two minutes of footage directly centered around both new and returning faces from My Hero Academia’s villainous roster. The new gameplay shown displays both the characters’ special moves and general powers, with many seemingly replicating the anime to an incredibly authentic degree.

The trailer begins showing off one of the My Hero One’s Justice 2’s biggest new additions: Season 4’s main antagonist, Kai Chisaki (aka, Overhaul). The footage shows off a lot more of the villain’s move set, with his power to break and reassemble objects used to send massive ground attacks at his opponents. The end of the trailer also shows off a second, more powerful form of Overhaul, which comes later into the series when he has his battle with the show’s main protagonist, Deku. He seems to possess much stronger variations of his previous moves, with one seeing massive stalagmites rise from the ground and impale Deku.

The next character shown is a new variation of main antagonist Tomura Shigaraki who comes without his signature disembodied hand mask. The footage shows him using a combination of strong aerial moves and grabs that allow him to use his decay ability to drain the life of his opponents. Following this, we see the ninja villain Twice, who utilizes his whip and ability to create perfect duplicates to battle opponents. One scene shows him spawn a clone of Fat Gum and use his own powers against him.

Next is Mr Compress, who’s super-speed and ability to trap people in marbles is shown off in his move set. Not only can he conjure weapons - such as swords - to fight enemies, but one scene even shows him compress an enemy into a marble, load them into a gun, and shoot them like a firework. Finally, the trailer also puts a focus on Kendo Rappa. The giant, brute-like villain uses his sensationally quick arms to fire bulletlike punches, with his moves seemingly battering through opponents in a similar style to his fights in My Hero Academia Season 4.

My Hero One’s Justice 2 launches on March 13, 2020 for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
