Miller has a decent amount of experience under his belt, from penning the screenplays of X-Men: First Class and the MCU’s Thor in 2011 to producing and writing on multiple episodes of J.J. Abrams’ sci-fi horror drama series Fringe according to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb). The latter credit certainly seems to mesh well with a deep-cut mystery experience like Myst.

That said, the adventure puzzle game deserves a strong adaptation given its storied history as one of the best-selling PC games of all time. Myst has gone on to inspire many, including Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser.

While it would be one of the more high-profile games befitting the medium of television, Myst is by no means the only video game adaptation in production. Earlier this year Naughty Dog announced it is working on a show based on The Last of Us with HBO.

A Myst TV series is currently in development.
